There is both a time and file size limit for MC videos. The video will stop being recorded after 5 minutes or if the file size reaches 20MB, whichever comes first. The file size of the recording is determined by the quality of the video and to some extent the amount of movement and audio that the video captures. Some factors that contribute to video quality (file size) are:
- Quality of the camera. If the camera is an HD camera with many advanced features it will produce a larger file.
- Camera settings. You may have the option to record in different resolutions or quality settings, the lower these are set the smaller your file size will be. If you have the choice of whether to record in HD, we recommend to choose no.
- Flash settings- right click on the presentation screen and hit settings, then hit the folder icon. Then drag the slider all the way to the right so it has a bigger cache.
- Camera movement- the more you move around during your videos, the more often the camera has to focus and recapture.
