We have restored service for the Mortgage Coach Advice Engine, Mortgage Coach Content Management System (CMS), and RateWatch application.
Dates affected: 7/19/24, beginning at approximately 5:30 a.m. ET. Systems were restored today at 3:30p.m. ET.
Systems affected: Mortgage Coach Advice Engine, Mortgage Coach Content Management System (CMS), and RateWatch application.
What happened: A widespread Windows incident occurred as a result of an update sent to Windows host systems by the cybersecurity firm Crowdstrike. The incident caused host systems to crash and experience bug checks/blue screen errors. This incident temporarily caused a service outage for our Mortgage Coach applications.

Remediation: TrustEngine teams followed the remediation steps prescribed by Crowdstrike, and were able to restore service to Mortgage Coach and RateWatch applications within a few hours.
Next Steps: There should be no action required by our clients. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this outage has caused.
